Role Purpose 

As an E-Learning Developer Intern at Education Direct Worldwide, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and enhancing engaging online learning experiences. This internship is perfect for someone passionate about education technology, instructional design, and multimedia content development. You'll gain hands-on experience in creating interactive courses, learning modules, and digital resources to support learners worldwide.


What You'll Do and How You'll Make an Impact

  • Develop interactive e-learning content using authoring tools (Articulate, Captivate, or similar).
  • Enhance online courses by incorporating multimedia elements (videos, animations, quizzes, and simulations).
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to transform educational content into engaging digital learning experiences.
  • Optimize user experience by ensuring courses are intuitive, accessible, and mobile-friendly.
  • Test and troubleshoot e-learning modules to ensure seamless functionality.
  • Research emerging e-learning trends and recommend improvements to instructional design strategies.
  • Support Learning Management System updates and content integration.

Typical Tasks & Activities

  • Assist in storyboarding, designing, and structuring digital learning modules.
  • Convert instructional materials into interactive, SCORM-compliant e-learning content.
  • Edit and optimize videos, graphics, and animations for online courses.
  • Conduct QA testing to identify and fix usability or technical issues.
  • Work with designers, developers, and educators to create high-quality educational experiences.
  • Stay up to date with e-learning best practices and new technologies.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in instructional design, education technology, multimedia design, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or Camtasia.
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design, video editing, and animation tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Exposure to Learning Management Systems such as Moodle, Blackboard, or TalentLMS is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with educators, designers, and developers.
  • Attention to detail to ensure a seamless, high-quality user experience in online courses.
  • Creativity and passion for creating engaging and interactive learning experiences.
